Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to create a personal account. Students under 13 may only use Odutor through an account created and managed by their school, with appropriate parental or guardian consent obtained by the school.

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

Odutor supports four account roles. Each role carries specific permissions and responsibilities:

• Students - access lessons, submit assignments, take quizzes, participate in live classes and forums, and review their own progress data.
• Teachers - create and manage course content, set and grade assignments, schedule and host live classes, run quizzes, and view analytics for students enrolled in their classes.
• Guardians - link to one or more student accounts to view academic progress, assignment status, attendance records, and communicate with teachers.
• School Administrators - manage institution-wide settings, provision teacher and student accounts, view aggregated school analytics, and manage subscription billing.

You may not impersonate another user or create an account under a false identity. If Odutor detects fraudulent account activity, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the affected accounts immediately.

You agree to use Odutor only for lawful educational purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use our Services to:

Your content: You retain ownership of any content you create on Odutor - including lesson plans, assignment questions, and submitted work. By uploading content to the platform, you grant Odutor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of providing the Services. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.

Odutor content: All platform code, design, branding, default course templates, and documentation are the intellectual property of Odutor. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without written permission.

Third-party content: Certain courses or resources may be provided by third-party educators. Odutor is not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of third-party content.

Odutor's live-class feature enables real-time video, audio, and chat interaction between Teachers and Students. By joining a live session, you acknowledge that:

• Sessions may be recorded by the hosting teacher for later review by enrolled students. You will be informed before a recording begins.
• Your audio and video may be transmitted to other session participants in real time.
• Disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour during live sessions may result in removal from the session and suspension of your account.
• Odutor is not responsible for the quality or continuity of live sessions where disruption is caused by factors outside our control (e.g., your internet connection, power outages).

Odutor offers both free and paid subscription plans. Free plans provide access to core features with usage limitations. Paid plans unlock advanced analytics, unlimited live-class hosting, extended storage, and priority support.

• Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected.
• All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.
• If your payment fails, we will notify you and may downgrade your account to the free tier until payment is resolved.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at reach@jaragroup.net. On account closure, your access to the platform will cease immediately and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Odutor reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are engaging in activity harmful to other users or the platform. Where possible, we will give you advance notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach.

Odutor provides its Services "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We are not responsible for any loss of data, academic outcomes, or other damages arising from your use of the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Odutor's total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid to Odutor in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app banner at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Odutor after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Services and close your account.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
